Vintage Valentine

Trying out Freshly Made Sketches' latest sketch from Kim...my version of the sketch flipped vertically..sorted out the vintage pattern papers and finished with the cutest scallop border on top.. Layered the bear and the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment with foam tape. Voila! Card goal 34 +1 = 35 cards.
Thanks for dropping by to have a peek. Happy Monday!

{LOVE YOU} and....

Latest sketch challenge from Melissa over at Sunday Stamps... So many ideas running through my head...Christmas, Valentines. Managed to complete a few cards and using up some of my vintage pattern paper stash. Haven't coloured images for awhile and found it abit exciting colouring the penguins and bringing them to *life* Wanted a different sentiment from Happy Valentine's Day, hence the {LOVE YOU}. Than for the Christmas cards..wanted to use the Santa hat stickers on the puffins. This sketch was great for using up those teeny pieces of leftover pattern papers for the gifts.. Can't decide which cards I prefer...the Valentine or Christmas versions.. Which is your fave? Entering these cards also into the Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge. Voila 4 cards completed. 2026 Card goal 2 + 4 = 6.
Thanks for dropping by to have a peek. Happy Friday everyone.

Hugs & Kisses....

Hmmm...best get started on a couple of Valentine cards...and to kick start the inspiration...the Paper Players' sketch challenge from Jaydee. Stamped and coloured the cute rhino image and his little friend. Spiced up the card with a shaker box..using a mixture of sequins. Stamped the sentiment on the whisper white in red with couple pink pirouette hearts silhouettes...Voila!

LOVE YOU To the Moon and Back...

A hat trick challenge..well kinda..darn it all...missed the Watercooler Wednesday's sketch challenge deadline..just not enough time in the day on my Mondays; however I am able to enter the Paper Craft Crew's theme Challenge of Love and the Paper Player's Claire's theme challenge: Will you be my Valentine? ...woot woot. Took advantage of Kathy's sketch challenge and needed a couple of Valentine cards to mail out to two favourite peeps. Not having many Valentine Day sets.. made a couple Love Monsters with their googly eyes.. The sketch was great inspiration on the two cards...Voila two Valentine cards and two more off the to make list.

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the polka dot pattern paper strips and the inside sentiment * To the Moon and Back*

Happy February peeps!

Love You...it's a WINNER

First challenge for 2017...Watercooler Wednesday's weekly challenge...this week Libby Fens' Clean and Simple theme is Love in Red and White. The Red and White is easy enough but the Clean and Simple is a challenge as my cardmaking bestie knows that I stay far far away from paper with lots of white space..but heck a challenge is a challenge. I opted for some red glimmer paper to pizzazz the card with a border and the Heart from the Bloomin Heart Thinlits. The "LOVE YOU" sentiment from the Bloomin' Love stamp set is stamped with real red ink...and Voila! Quickest card I have ever made and another card off the to make list. ;)

EDIT: I won..  I won..Libby chose my card as the winner of her CASchallenge. THANK YOU Libby for making my day!

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to leave some blog love.

Valentine Snowman

Just one more sleep and it's Valentine's Day...and my last Valentine card for the season perhaps?! A double challenge: Just Add Ink's theme ~ *Just Add "V"..opted to go with the Valentine's theme and used SugarPea Design's Sugar Sketch for additional inspiration. Stamped and coloured the Snowman image and decided a shaker box was in order to spice the card up... Voila!

Just had to try Can You Case It's sketch challenge from Elizabeth and incorporated Sunday Stamps' colour challenge ~ Early Espresso, Real Red, Crumb Cake & Basic Gray. Check out the design teams' inspirations and the participants' cards. I fell in love with Mandy and Eva's cards so much, that I created my card with the magic of the two hearts and the shaker....which we know that I have a slight obsession with.. ;) Finished with the metallic red and white twine..Voila!

Happy Valentine's...

Up next, a duo challenge...Sunday Stamps' sketch challenge with Stylin Stampin INKspiration's picture inspiration, which I used the colours and the love theme. While I am not normally a fan of colouring or fussy cutting...I've been finding the colouring...kinda relaxing. And since I have several unloved snowman stamps...thought I would finally INK them up and use them. The fussy cutting...well that's another story. Voila, a Valentine's card.

Happy Valentine's...

Watercooler Wednesday's technique challenge from Jean~ paper piecing... Jean's card inspired me to give this challenge a try. I pulled out the hexagon punch ~ that has been collecting dust for for ages until recently. Loved piecing the hexis on the front with different pattern papers for a background. Coloured and layered the snowman image...added a smidge of red glimmer paper for a little sparkle..Voila! Thank you for an awesome challenge! :) And nothing like leaving it to the ninth hour... ;)
