Happy Birthday...

A double challenge for this Birthday Card: Create with Connie and Mary's colour challenge of Emerald Envy, Delightful Dijon & Soft Suede with Pals Paper Arts' sketch challenge.
Love the new Seaside embossing folder for the soft suede layer on the white card base. Sponged the Birthday Bloom with Delightful Dijon, than masked the Birthday Bloom and stamped the Dictionary background over on top. Made my faux ribbon by stamping one of the Birthday cake layers from the Build A Birthday set with Emerald Envy..notched the end to complete the ribbon. The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped and layered onto the Vintage Label circle layers and finished the card..Voila!!

Happy Birthday....Honorable Mention it is...

On my card to make list..a guy Birthday card...a double challenge for inspiration: Watercooler Wednesday's Libby's trees' theme and Create with Connie and Mary's sketch challenge. I don't own alot of guy stamp sets..so went with my Lovely as a Tree stamp set and Happy Birthday sentiment from the retired Engraved Greetings set. Had to add a mini shaker and added some silver glimmer paper...which I'm not too sure is very *manly*...oh well.. Coloured the rhinestones with a sharpie and Voila!

Happy Father's Day....it's a WINNER!!!

Was chillin at my cardmaking bestie's and decided to be productive and make a card...so I'm back with a double challenge combo: Create with Connie and Mary's colour challenge ~ Night of Navy, Calypso Coral and Smoky Slate and Can You Case It's sketch challenge...
Wanted to try 3D effect with the layered elements..stamped the ship in Night of Navy on whisper white cardstock and layered the 3 framelits over the image and die cut out..not sure whether we can see the World Traveller background embossed on the Night of Navy layer..
Embossed the Happy Father's Day sentiment with the Calypso Coral embossing powder..Voila!

Happy Birthday...

A real quick post with this card...duo challenge: Create with Connie and Mary's colour challenge: Delightful Dijon, Lost Lagoon & Sahara Sand with Just Add Ink's sketch challenge. Not my usual colours..so had me thinking outside the box. Started with a Sahara Sand base...Sahara Sand dsp..Lost Lagoon pattern paper panels...stamped the large butterfly with Sahara Sand with Lost Lagoon roses and Delightful Dijon leaves... Love the butterfly diecuts and punches... Voila..another Birthday card for the stash! ;)

Decided to go with a Masculine Birthday card to build up that stash..a colour combo: Island Indigo, Basic Grey, Smokey Slate, Coastal Cabana & Whisper White ..a couple embossing folders..a strip of designer paper..and a spattering of stars..guy bling...Voila!

birthday wishes...

Not sure why..I can whip up a Christmas card...easy peasy...but all other cards...I struggle with...and they seem to take me forever and a day to create one...so this card has been in the making since the weekend and I finally finished today...phew... 
I combined three challenges:
Create with Connie and Mary's colour challenge: Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede & Watermelon  Wonder
Paper Craft Crew's Tic Tac Toe Challenge: Sequins, Feminine and Die Cuts/Punches, with 
As You See It's sketch challenge... used the dahlia flower as the main center image, downsized the butterflies and went with a shaker box instead of a tag as I didn't have any matching ribbon to finish a tag...dry embossed with two different folders ~ the two different Soft Suede layers..
Well maybe it was not the theme itself but perhaps combining three challenges that gave me some grief....hhhmmmm....lightbulb moment.. ;) Anyways without further to do....Voila...

HAPPY birthday....

Another hat trick challenge: 
Create with Connie and Mary's sketch challenge
Just Add Ink's colour challenge ~ Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry & Tip Top Taupe, and Can You Case It's choose 3 colours + neutral challenge ..
I didn't have the new Birthday Blooms set so had to settle with my Stippled Blossoms, Celebrate Today and Kinda Eclectic sets..fell In love with the colour combo when I saw it and just have to give it a shot..So dry embossed the Tip Top Taupe panels with 2 different embossing folders. Embossed the white sentiment on the Rich Razzleberry strip..two step stamped the rose with Rich Razzleberry and the leaf branch with Tip Top Taupe...added a shaker with the Blackberry Bliss circle frame window..just because I wanted to pizzazz the card up..added white and gold as my neutrals... and Voila!

Triple challenge...Create with Connie and Mary's sketch challenge, new to me ~ Seize the Birthday's Anything Goes Challenge with Can You Case It's Terri's colour challenge: Turquoise, Yellow and White..my version...Soft Sky, So Saffron, White..and Black and CrumbCake as neutrals..added the shaker to pizzazz the card up...Voila!

HAPPY birthday.....it's a WINNER!

So my 2016 dream was to complete more challenges, build up the card stash and deplete the craft stash... Lately I have been finding that the sketch challenges are easier than the colour challenges. I decided to give Create with Connie and Mary's colour combo challenge: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo and Wisteria ~ which really had me put my thinking cap on.. and the gears were grinding. I needed a Birthday card so decided to go with balloons and a surprise inside..Stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed the balloons' patterns with clear embossing powder. Of course..another shaker... Voila!

Shine...It's Your Day...it's a WINNER!!!

Finally get to play with the one new stamp and thinlet die set from the Occassions Catalogue. For inspiration, I used Create with Connie and Mary's colour challenge ~ Real Red, Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon and Watercooler Wednesday's Bev's CAS ~ star theme ... So I accomplished the colour combo and the stars; however it's as close to clean and simple for me...oh well...a fun Birthday card!

With Sympathy...

Needed a sympathy card for a good friend and used Create with Connie and Mary's sketch challenge to get me started. I rotated the sketch for a vertical setting versus the horizontal..am patiently waiting for the new Birthday Blooms set so I had to settle for the retired Blooming with Kindness set. Colours used: So Saffron, Perfect Plum & Pool Party.

My first challenge to start the New Year..welcome 2016..and it's a duo challenge: Create with Connie and Mary's sketch challenge coupled with Can You Case It's colour challenge: Purples, Blues and Neutrals. With the year end mayhem and the holidays, I never got the chance to ink up my Flurry of Wishes stamp set...dusted off the Dictionary background stamp....and to kick the card up a notch..added a shaker box..and Voila!

Another double challenge..Create with Connie& Mary's colour challenge: Chocolate Chip, Island Indigo and Smoky Slate with Can You Case It's sketch challenge. Inked up my bestie's new stamp set ~ Floral Wings and fussy cut the stamped butterfly underneath the delicate chocolate chip butterfly die cut...splashed a few sequins and Voila!
