Wild Bunch Mini Snow Globes

The latest sketch from Amy over at Freshly Made Sketches... Embossed the white layer with a snowflake embossing folder. Stamped, coloured and fussy cutted the penguin and koala from Stampin Up's Wild Bunch. Decided to make a couple mini snow globes and added the teeny Christmas top hats from the craft stash. Wrapped the red and white bakers twine around the snowglobe base..Strip of pattern paper and a couple 3D snowflakes and we're done! Opted for no sentiment this time around, just because. Entering these cards into the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown's June technique challenge - embossing folders. Card Goal = 110 + 2 + 112.

Immediately thought of shakers when I spotted the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge..so a couple of shakers later and than while I was working with my pattern papers...Hmmmm.....sunshine rays behind with cloudy skies on the side..played with my bestie's Playing in the Rain bundle...Sunshine & Good Vibes. I really need pratice colouring; however, I did notice that colouring with the Blendaibilities on the Stampin Up whisper white afforded a smoother look - if that makes any sense (last card shown) Card Goal = 83 + 5 = 88 cards. BEST WISHES for

the BEST BOSS EVER. Used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to kickstart the inspiration as I wanted a special card for an AMAZING human and a WONDERFUL leader. For the masculine touch...used the hexagon shapes versus flowers...and added the shaker box ...window frame for more pizazz. BEST is outside the shaker and WISHES is inside the shaker. Finished with some swirly glitter ribbons ...blinged just enough for a masculine card!

Happy Birthday Shaker

Trying this week's sketch over at AHSC...and I am in love with my bestie's Two Tone Flora....going to have to add it to the next order of mine! ;) Loving the window effect and of course a window calls for a shaker box... Had to use the lime green glimmer paper for the bling factor...to make it a little extra special. I love the white embossed "Happy Birthday" on the black cardstock for the *pop* factor. Up next, Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge...flipped the sketch sideways and here are my takes on the sketch! Vintage pattern papers for the WIN..and blue glimmer paper for the floras and a couple window box shakers with sequins..finished with a sparkly black 'celebrate.' Couldn't resist the shakers as it's been awhile and I need to use up those sequins and beads.. So excited..5 Birthday cards for the stash.

Merry Christmas...WINNER

Another sketch from one of my fave sketch challenge blogs...Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge..the sketch kinda stumped me and than I was eyeing some pattern paper and a shaker box came to be. Blue glimmer cardstock for the mat and the shaker window frame.. Mixed and added some sequins with chunky glitter for the shaker box elements. Finished with some diecut snowflakes! Voila!

EDIT: Great news for my Wednesday...my card was chosen as one of the top 3 cards from AHSC. Thanks to the DT for choosing my card and making my day. Congrats to the other 2 winners. :)

Merry Christmas Snowmen Shakers...

Another sketch chellenge from AHSC..Haven't made a shaker in awhile so to kick the card up a notch...decided to add the snowmen shaker boxes...Inked and coloured a couple of my fave Snowman images..made some shaker boxes.. Tried some new sparkles for the shaker boxes..added the glimmer paper snowflakes...Voila!

Welcome to 2021...finally a card...been forever and a day. Needed a special retirement card for a special coworker..Used Sunday Stamps' sketch challenge by Amy, to kick start the inspiration..(I flipped the original sketch sideways for my card) The card is 5.5" by 8.5" as lots of peeps are signing. And of course, upped the ante with Just Add Ink's shaker challenge ...and added an addictive shaker box..and for the WOW factor inside..the popped up sentiment... Finished with the Adirondack chairs...Voila!

Christmas Snowmen....

A new sketch challenge for me to try...My Favourite Things..coupled with The Paper Players' Joanne's Christmas theme challenge, Trying to figure out the diagonal placement of the matted pattern paper and cutting the pattern paper and the white layer were a bit challenging..A couple different colour combos and Yes, I'm still on a Christmas mode... Tried some different pattern paper combinations and different sentiments on the cards...and just have to add the shaker box element.. 4 more cards added to the Christmas card stash of mine..

JOY & Merry Christmas

Putting away the cardmaking supplies and tidying up for the upcoming holidays..so I'm going have to do some power cardmaking ..LOL

Another duo challenge...combined Just Add Ink's current colour challenge: Real Red, Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz..with Fab Friday's current sketch challenge.. two cards with the JAI colour combination and 4 cards for the Fab Friday sketch challenge. Stamped and coloured the images with my Blends..sprinkled the snowman with dazzling diamonds glitter. The shaker boxes were tugging at my heart strings...so out came all the paraphernalia...4 more shaker box cards and another 5 cards to add to the Christmas card stash.

Deets: All Stampin Up except for some of the pattern paper, JOY diecut and the reindeer and snowman stamped images.

Merry Christmas Owl and Snowie Shaker...WINNER...

Just when I think I've run out of cardmaking mojo....I get a second wind.. ;) 

Up next a combo challenge with Anne Marie from The Paper Players Tic Tac Toe Challenge: Patterened Paper, Red and Coloring Tool and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge... wanted to pizazz the card...so a shaker element.. Coloured the stamped images and finished with dazzling diamonds glitter..Figured out the red glimmer frame for the shaker box..filled the shaker box with sprinkles...Had to try another card with a nontraditonal colour combo: pool party, crumb cake, white and silver..Voila!!!

Deets: All Stampin Up except for the snowflake embossing folder, pattern papers for the Pool Party card and the stamped Owl and Snowie images..

EDIT: Today was my day...awesome news as the AHSC Design Team chose my card as one of the 4 winners of their recent sketch challenge!! THANK YOU so much. Totally made my day and today, I closed the chapter on a story and start a new chapter of an epic novel...Things are looking up. :)

Slowly but surely..a few more cards to build the Christmas card stash..Kickstarted with another sketch challenge from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenges ...combined with my passion for shaker boxes for extra added pizzazz..cutting up and using more of the coveted pattern paper stash...a sequin sprinkle and finally some ribbon to finish each card with a bow... I haven't used ribbon on a card in quite some time..Voila!

Finally found this snowman stamp set..and decided to ink it up and make a few cards...Kickstarted the inspiration with Fab Friday's current sketch challenge. Wanted a vintage theme colour combo..hence the pink, crumb cake and silver bling for the first two..than I had to cut up the new designer paper that I just received for the last card's colour combo..coastal cabana, real red.. Wanted to up the game with a shaker box...Voila!

Happy Christmas...

Finally after all this time..the light bulb has come on and I'm learning when I make a card...to make a few of them at the same time..my bestie's suggestion from ages ago. Thank you Bestie for the wonderful suggestion.
Kickstarted this card with inspiration from the Fusion Card Challenge's sketch...I'm still on a shaker card craze..so more faux snowglobes with the Stitched Circle framelits and the Lots of Label framelits...and upcycled office transparencies for the windows...(scooped up a box of brand new transparencies for $3 at the local thrift store..BONUS). Instead of the seed beads and sequins that I normally use in the shakers..I used sparkly chunky glitter. I'm building that card stash of mine....slowly..one card at a time.

I am on a Christmas Card making roll...and loving the sketches for inspiration and opted to use Sketch Saturday's Choose any Sketch from the archive ~ #297 by Vanessa for my card. Finally made a cut in the coveted piece of pattern paper..and another snow globe shaker to the mix. The embossed snowflake strip is from one of my most fave Snowflake embossing folders...Voila!
