Christmas mode happening here and wanted to try out a new die set..A couple different snowflake background embossing folders - one of them, my fave, a vintage Martha Stewart one. Gold glimmer because one needs bling for Christmas cards... A vellum circle to mimic a waterglobe with..some greenery..vintage pattern paper from the treasure trove! Voila! Entering these cards into the ABC Christmas Card Challenge - U for Unused stash: vintage pattern papers, die sets and embossing folders. Card goal = 151 + 4 = 155 cards..

merry 'TIS THE SEASON

Check out the JULY challenge over at the ABC Christmas Challenge blog. N is for No Stamping...which is totally something I can do...This is where you find your pattern papers with a beautiful scenery....make a flat shaker card...and finish with a glimmer cardstock die cut sentiment...Voila!!! So excited to be using the vintage snowflake confetti and again - repurposing cellophane packaging. Card Goal = 133 + 3 = 136. Also, entering these cards into Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge...and Just Add Ink's latest Christmas in July theme challenge.

Merry Christmas Tiles

A tricky for me sketch challenge from Kim over at Freshly Made Sketches...had to give this one quite a bit of thought... My rendition of the sketch.. Embossed the gumbo green cardstock layer with an evergreen background embossing folder - layered onto a silver glimmer cardstock mat for some bling since it's a Christmas card. Cut the pattern papers into 7/8" squares and layered a few with foam tape for added dimension. Finished with a couple fir tree sprigs and the embossed sentiment on black card stock. Another Christmas card for the stash. Card Goal = 77 + 1 = 78 cards.

Thought I would give the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge a shot..my interpretation.. Working with my bestie's Cup of Tea bundle that I never knew I needed..LOL. Mix of 3 different pattern paper lines this time around. Card Goal = 76 + 1 = 77 cards.

Mother's Day Tea Cups

Was over at my bestie's checking out stamps for Mother's day cards and she lent me her Cup of Tea stamp and die bundle...Lots of stamping and diecutting happened here. Feminine cards coming right up for the latest Paper Players' theme challenge from Jaydee. Stamped the foliage wuth Gumball green on sage shadow cardstock for the leaves as I didn't like all the white space when I originally stamped gumball green on whisper white. Layered the leaves with dimensionals for volume and finished the flowers with mini gems or pearls. Entering these cards into Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge as I used more of my vintage pattern paper stash. Are you able to figure out how many different pattern papers were used this time around??? ;). Card goal = 71+5 = 76 cards.

Happy Mother's Day...

Up next, coupled the latest sketch from Jen M over at Freshly Made Sketches. with the Paper Player's feminine theme challenge from Jaydee. I think this is one of my fave cards sp far...the pattern paper is vintage Crafter's Companion and wanted to highlight the paper with embossed white background layer. Layered the top rectangle as well as the overhang from the sparkly happy...and the "MOTHER'S DAY" sentiment. Might need to make a few more of these.. Card goal = 70+1 = 71.

Bannered Happy....

My take on the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Found this vintage Stampin Up mushroom woodland pattern paper and used the mushrooms from the Sizzix Funky Foliage dies. Needed to make some Mother's Day cards...so I drove into the pattern paper treasure trove and came up with a few more cards. The Mother's Day sentiment is from Mama Elephant...which my bestie kindly lent me to finish my cards. Completed the cards with the teeny wooden bees..voila! Entering these cards into Love Those Pretty Paper Challenges as well. Card goal = 66 +4 = 70 cards.

it's your day with jars of flowers...

The latest sketch challenge from Stef over at The Paper Players.. My takes for a couple cards with vintage MME pattern papers. Punched out the tiny flowers from pumpkin pie and smokey slate cardstocks. Finished the tiny flowers by sponging the edges and adding teeny gems for their centers. Added the teeny wooden bees to the jar of flowers. Since Mother's Day is next weekend, thought the "it's your day" sentiments were perfect to finish the cards. Card goal = 64 + 2 cards = 66.

it's your day....

This week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge... my rendition. Inked, stamped and coloured the turtle from Playing in the Rain stamp and die bundle set. Finished with the white embossed sentiment on black and a double bow from gold and natural twine. So glad that my bestie found this challenge awhile ago...that is right up my alley... Love those Pretty Papers Challenge..I have a hefty stash of vintage papers that I am making a concentrated effort to use up...Card goal = 63 +1 = 64 cards.

HAVE THE BEST DAY....

Alrighty....my renditions of the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge...I changed the circle element to an arch as I couldn't wrap my head around the circle element. Loving the vintage My Minds Eye pattern paper circa 2013...that I picked up at a local sale. Used the vintage 1 1/4" postage punch for the bermuda bay mats with the 1" pattern paper squares. Over at my bestie's and stamped. coloured and fussy cutted *gasp* the birds from the Cutest Crew stamp set..Used the Everyday Arches for the bermuda bay mat and pattern paper layer. The second card was was a K & Company, My Minds Eye and Stampin Up collaboration... On a roll and fussy cutted one of the poppies to add to the circle and finished with blue iridescent sequins. Not sure which card is my fave. Entering these cards into Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge with their Spring Flowers theme.Card goal = 61 + 2 = 63 cards.

THIS or THAT...

Seem to be on a roll with the cardmaking...a great stress release. Another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge - great for using up more pattern paper. A couple of Masculine Birthday cards and some Christmas cards to add to the 2026 stash. Used up the last pieces of some of the vintage Stampin Up Christmas pattern papers..and more collaborations of vintage pattern paper lines. Finished the cards with gems and a white embossed sentiment on black card stock. Not sure which ones are my fave? Entering the Chrismtas Cards into the ABC Christmas Challenge with F = Foliage (Pine Trees) and G = Gems. Card goal = 55 + 6 = 61 cards.

YOU'RE THE BEST MOM....

As soon as I saw this sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenges...I immediately thought...oh a great pattern paper scrap buster...wanted to work on some cards for Moms..which would work for either Mother's Day of their Birthday.. Once again vintage pattern paper collaborations (14 different pattern papers)..Finished the cards with these teeny wooden bee embellishments (See if one can spot them in the second picture?)..Voila! Also entering these cards into Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge as we're showcasing vintage pattern papers with different companies: Stampin Up, My Minds Eye, Bo Bunny, etc. Card goal = 49 + 6 = 55 cards.

Love the tag element as I get to use some of the vintage ribbon in the stash which matches perfectly with the vintage pattern papers of mine.. and since I'm kinda on a shaker kick...converted the tags into mini shakers for some confetti. Merry Christmas Pines...WINNER

A bit of a tricky sketch over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge...wasn't sure whether I should have layered the pine trees pieces with foam tape...oh well everything is glued down, so not happening...Love the stitched scallop edge from Be Mine Stitched dies. I think my fave is the one on the embossed white layer as the pine trees *pop* more. A collection of vintage Photo Play, MME and Stampin Up pattern papers. A couple Christmas cards to add to the card stash. Card goal = 39 + 2 = 41 cards.

Had to think about this sketch from Sunday Stamps for abit...and than this idea dawned on me...my take on Heidi's sketch challenge...A great sketch to use up those fidley last pieces of pattern papers... Punched out the center of the "O" with the Classic Label punch.. Played with the placement of the sentiment as I wasn't 100% certain that you could make out the "O" with the sentiment on top.. Not sure this card portrays the sketch; however it was great inspiration. Card goal = 37 + 2 = 39 cards.

Happy Birthday Mosaic..WINNER

Another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge..my version for two Birthday cards...layered some of the layers with foam tape for dimensional interest and finished with the Happy Birthday embossed with white embossing powder on black card stock. Changed the placement of the sentiment as I didn't want to cover the florals and wanted to showcase the florals.Mix of Stampin up, K & Company and MME vintage pattern papers on a chocolate chip cardstock mat on the so saffron pattern paper. I think my fave is the one with the blue flowers..which is yours? Entering this card into Love Those Pretty Paper challenge since I managed to use 3 different pattern paper lines for the cards. Card Goal 35 + 2 = 37.

Trying out Freshly Made Sketches' latest sketch from Kim...my version of the sketch flipped vertically..sorted out the vintage pattern papers and finished with the cutest scallop border on top.. Layered the bear and the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment with foam tape. Voila! Card goal 34 +1 = 35 cards.

So my renditions of the latest sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge...Dug into the vintage pattern papers...two cards with totally opposite themes.. a sombre Sympathy card and a warm Valentine's card..
