Christmas Dancin' Penguins

Hat trick with the latest sketch challenge from Christy over at The Paper Players. with Just Add Ink's theme challenge - Christmas in July and last but not least...the ABC Christmas Challenge with N is for no stamping..(with the card on the left). Tried the new to me Spellbinder Dancin' Penguin dies to make a couple Christmas cards for the stash. Embossed the white layer with one of my fave Sizzix snowflake embossing folders. Used more of my supplies from the vintage stash. Card Goal = 127 + 2 + 129 cards.

Merry Christmas Trio - Prize Winner

Up next, Freshly Made Sketches with Narelle's sketch. Embossed snowflakes on the white layer. Inked and coloured the vintage snow people (that have been in my stash forever and a day) with Blends and Copics and fussy cutted. Glimmer cardstock for some Christmas bling. Also, entering this card into the ABC Christmas Card Challenge's theme: L is for Let it Snow. Card goal = 106 +1 = 107 cards.

Merry Snowmen....

My rendition of the latest sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge ~ Vintage stamps inked, coloured and fussy cutted. Layered the central focal point with foam tape for more interest. Not sure, which is my fave. Entering these cards into the ABC Christmas Challenge with L is for Let it Snow. Card goal = 100 + 2 = 102 cards. Thanks for popping by to have a peek. THIS or THAT...

Seem to be on a roll with the cardmaking...a great stress release. Another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge - great for using up more pattern paper. A couple of Masculine Birthday cards and some Christmas cards to add to the 2026 stash. Used up the last pieces of some of the vintage Stampin Up Christmas pattern papers..and more collaborations of vintage pattern paper lines. Finished the cards with gems and a white embossed sentiment on black card stock. Not sure which ones are my fave? Entering the Chrismtas Cards into the ABC Christmas Challenge with F = Foliage (Pine Trees) and G = Gems. Card goal = 55 + 6 = 61 cards.

Masculine Trees...

This week's sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge kinda stumped me...but this is my take on the sketch..masculine themed Christmas and Birtday cards.. Vintage collection of pattern papers: Pink Paislee, My Minds Eye 2010, and Bazzill Basics Paper with Stampin Up. My 2026 Card goal = 18 + 4 = 22. Great sketch to use those pattern papers. Adding the Christmas Cards to ABC's Christmas Challenge: A is for Anything Goes and Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge.

Season's Greetings...WINNER..

With the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge ~ It's all about Christmas... Dug out some vintage crafting dies and embossing folders ..glimmer cardstock for the holiday bling factor..For the lost lagoon, traced and cut out the houses from glimmer cardstock, while with the pink version, I painstakingly die cut the houses from the pink glimmer and glued the teeny diecuts into the white houses..if that makes sense. Stamped and diecut the Seasons's greetings from my bestie's Traditional Labels stamp set with dies on white cardstock with Lost Lagoon and Rose Red inks. Voila! Not sure which one is my fave..lost lagoon or the pink glimmer...Cards completed = 148 +2 = 150.
Entering this card also into the ABC Christmas Challenge: U is for Uncluttered (CAS)' & 'V is for Vertical'

Season's Greetings...***WINNER***

So the latest sketch from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge was a bit daunting when I first looked at it...but I made myself figure it out and I am really happy. The sketch for me was another major scrap pattern paper buster...hands down. Once I sorted out the plan ~ it was a matter of mixing and matching pattern papers. Finished the red matted cards with red and white bakers' twine and tiny red bells and some fir branches on the layered sentiments with foam tape for dimension. The blue colour combinations were simpler with snowflakes and a star topped Christmas tree. My fave is the blue Christmas tree with the snowflake flocked vintage pattern paper. Entering this card for ABC Christmas Challenge with T for the traditional red and green colour cards and Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge with the assortment of different paper lines and pattern papers. And now with these 6 cards...I'm at 190/240 card goal.

merry Christmas wishes...*WINNER*

Next for inspiration: ABC's Christmas Challenge - H is for Hats and I is for Inking..Doubled with Just Add Ink's Challenge - Add Shimmer or Shine and tripled for a Hat Trick with Freshly Made Sketches' recent sketch challenge from Kim. It's been a LONG time since I've completed a hat trick.. Inked up this vintage and new to me stamp of the Snowballs with their hats..coloured with Copics and Blendabilities ...and fussy cutted..my least fave thing to do..LOL. For SHIMMER - dusted dazzling diamonds here and there and layered on top with the red shimmer letters for *merry*. Finally getting a chance to use this *merry* die as it's oversized..but I love words with the shadow layers as the words just seem to pop. The sledding penguins were coloured with Copics and fussy cut as well..different pattern papers..Voila..4 more Christmas cards added to the 2024 Christmas card stash and my 240 goal.

Tis the Season...

Finally finding my cardmaking mojo..as it's definitely been awhile. Fell totally in love with this background stamp ~ Fragrant Forest...Paired the tip top taupe with a red matte shimmer layer and a dusting of dazzling diamonds..finished with a layered tag. I love trying non traditional pairings for Christmas. Entering this card into the ABC Christmas Challenge - V is for Vertical Challenge. Gnomes in the Woods...

ABC Christmas Challenge's current theme is S is for SNOW and/or T is for TREES. I was over to my bestie's and tried out her new Aspen Tree die and fell in love with the die....Chose some pattern paper for the background underneath the die cut trees with a red glimmer mat underneath. Finished with a Gnome and some velvet snowflake stickers...Voila a couple more cards to add to the Christmas card stash... Thanks for dropping by to have a peek. Happy Friday!

Reindeer Gnomes...

Trying out the new to me Christmas Gnome stamp set...Attempting to put a serious dent into the vintage pattern paper stash of mine...and build up my Christmas card stash...Loving this moose Gnome and giving the AHSC a try. Also another attempt with the ABC Christmas Challenge..N is for NEW (New to me stamp set) and O os for OLD (vintage pattern papers from the coveted stash)...Mixed and matched the pattern papers. Stamped the image with a black ink and coloured with Copics and Stampin Blends...while the Stampin Blends seem to blend better with less lines...I prefer the Copics as they last longer and their tips are more durable in my humble opinion. Dusted the snowflakes, the red and white Gnome hats and candy canes with some dazzling diamonds. Finished their hats with a red gem and the embossed Merry Christmas on black cardstock... Voila! 5 more cards to add to the Christmas Card stash!

Merry Christmas Penguin

So I'm waffling between Birthday and Christmas cards....Wanted to try Freshly Made Sketches' weekly challenge from Karren...and than I totally love this little paper pieced black glimmer paper penguin with his stamped face..added the *OLD* aka Vintage top hat sticker...sprinkled some sequins and we're good to go. The pattern papers are from the vintage pattern paper stash of mine that I am committed to putting a dent into this year and attempting to resist the urge to buy more pattern paper..Loving the ABC Christmas Challenge with O is Old and N is New.. Off to make a few more for the Christmas card stash.

Merry Gnome

Going with the Christmas theme...and used AHSC for inspiration...Coupled with ABC Christmas Challenge's N for New and O for Old - an *OLD* NEW to me stamp set with some old pattern papers..Coloured the Gnome image with COPICs and paper pieced the gift with fussy cutting the image on pattern paper..Layered the red glimmer "Merry" sentiment and used foam tape for some dimension..Voila! Hoping to make a few more of these cards to add to the Christmas card stash.

Christmas Wishes

A double header challenge: a sketch challenge and a Christmas theme challenge as I need to build up my Christmas card stash... It's been awhile so I thought I would try Freshly Made Sketches' weekly challenge. And I'm participating in the ABC Christmas Challenge's L is for Little..hence the tiny die cut pointsettias.. Realy need to find some more of the matte red foil so I can make some more flowers for a few more cards.. Found some tiny gold/yellow gems for the flower centres..gold crochet cotton..and Voila!

Trying another challenge blog..As You Can See It Challenge..Jane's challenge.. #260 - Perpendicular..Here's my take on the sketch. I'm in Christmas mode..so more Christmas cards to add to my 29/100 cards goal for 2021. I wanted to convert this non Christmas stamp set to Christmas as I just love the idea of HUGS...Christmas pattern papers and red glimmer paper...Voila! Working on my 100 card goal for my 2021 Christmas cards...Appreciating the double sided pattern papers and using up the glimmer paper..Christmas bling. Wish I had more of the red matte foil...love the look for the pointsettia. JOY Special Snowflakes....

For inspiration...coupled Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge with  Jingle Belles' Challenge ~ Banner Holiday. I pulled the glittery red lettering...the blue background...and the snowflake.. for the JOY card with the snowflake background...For the AHSC, had to flip the snowflakes onto the opposite side of the card (mirror imaging) as there wasn't enough room on the left so I switched the sequins to match...

ABC Christmas Challenge ~ X for Extra special with the layered snowflakes and the special bling toppers on each of the snowflakes..

Deets: Stampin Up cardstock and scallop rectangle dies..the rest.. busting the craft stash of mine.
