Another sketch challenge...this one is from Heidi's sketch from Sunday Stamps. I'm trying to get ahead start of my Christmas cards...Tried out new to me Penny Black stamps..coloured with Copics and Blendabilities. Stamped the snowflakes on the background and dug into the vintage pattern paper stash. Dazzling diamonds glitter on the pompom, toque and scarf. Finished with some vintage three dimensional snowflakes.
Thanks for dropping by to have a peek.
Happy late Monday night or an early Friday morning!
EDIT: Deb from the Sunday Stamps design team chose my card as her top cup choice. Thank you for making my Saturday and congrats to all the Top Cup winners. :)

HAPPY Happy Birthday
My goal this year is to make 240 cards...gasp I said it out loud so it really needs to happen! ;)
I'm working on my building up my card stash and made some Birthday cards with the weekly sketch challenge from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Was over at my bestie's and she has the Queen Bee stamp and die set and I spotted the cutest bees...much easier to assemble than the bees I did last week that were so fidley. Layered the pattern paper banner onto the pattern paper background. Ribbon underneath the layered sentiment. Finished the cards with a couple gems and a little diecut bee. Four more cards to add to the stash! ;)

Happy Sunday everyone.

HAPPY balloons...
Inspiration from Try a Sketch on Tuesday. I've had this vintage stamp in my collection and decided to dust her off...ink her up and colour with Blendabilities and Copics. I found that the Blendabilities coloured smoother with no colour lines...if that makes sense. So excited was able to use up more vintage pattern papers. The HAPPY was from the Lawn Fawn Diecut - HAPPY SPRING, which I cut apart. Glimmer balloons because it's a Birthday Card... VOILA!

Christmas Penguins Sledding
Didn't like the white space on the original card...so I fussy cut with a xacto knife and than added foam tape for dimension...a better version in my humble opinion.
Over at Freshly Made Sketches...Jen M has her sketch up for inspiration..Goal this year is to ink up the dusty vintage collection and build my Christmas card stash.. Enjoyed working with the sketch and will need to a few more of these cards. Vintage pattern papers and my most fave snowflake embossing folder. Voila!

Merry and Happy ...
I am on a mission to ink up my vintage stamps and building my Christmas card stash. Used AHSC's latest sketch challenge for inspiration...using vintage pattern papers..and Voila! Thought I would give the sketch another try with a nature theme and thought the die cut bees would be perfect. Very fidley bees..diecut the bodies, traced and cut the wings from vellum and the traced and cut the bodies from gold glimmer. Stamped the HAPPY with soft suede and the floral image with pool party over the HAPPY as it was too plain with the HAPPY...Voila 4 HAPPY cards...HAPPY Birthday..HAPPY Mother's Day..

Christmas Delivery Snowman
Just Add Ink's sketch challenge from Di...and I have Christmas on the brain... I'm trying to blow the dust off the vintage stamp collection and put them to work.. Before my Gnome collection...snowmen ruled the domain and kind of got pushed aside with the arrival of the Gnomes... Well I think it's time to visit the vintage snowmen collection...Stamped, coloured, diecut, layered onto cardstock and used vintage Basic Grey pattern paper for the background. Voila! One more Christmas card to add to the stash.

Santa Gnomie Snow Globe
I am so loving the weekly sketches and Jen T's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was the inspiration kick starter. :)
I immediately thought of a snow globe. Stamped and coloured with Blendabilities the Santa Gnomie and dusted with dazzling diamonds glitter. Added a couple sprigs of fir behind the snowglobe. Layered the finished snow globe and the white embossed sentiment on black cardstock.
Another Christmas card completed for my 2024 Christmas card stash.

Merry & Bright Snowman - *WINNER*
Still in the Christmas card making mode and another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge....getting a head start on the Christmas stash...Found this scallop oval die in my crafty stash and thought it would be perfect for the sketch ..Paper pieced the snowman from ovals and tried different faces on them. I'm really trying to use up my vintage paper stash - so mixed and matched the various pattern paper lines. Used the 3D snowflakes to decorate the tops of the scallop oval frames..and finished with the sentiment..not quite the middle..a smidge down. ;) Three cards to add to the Christmas 2024 stash.
Thanks for dropping by to have a peek.
Hope you're enjoying the weekend. Well great news as my card was chosen as one of the top three for the AHSC. Totally made my day! Thank you to the AHSC team for choosing my card.

Chilling Snowmen
More snowmen chilling! ;) Well the day certainly got away with me and colouring the stamped image took longer as it's been awhile. Here's my take on the weekly sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday Using my vintage pattern papers and these cute layered snowflake embellishments. Hoping to finish a few more of these chilling snowmen cards but thought I best post at least this one.

Happy Sunday.

Puffin Bearing Presents...
Found inspiration with Judy's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for this Birthday card..stamped and coloured the Party
Puffin and fussy cut. My interpretation with the rectangles..worked out to be a stack of presents... I dry embossed the background layer as I wanted the Party Puffin and the presents to pop and not get lost on pattern paper. I noticed after I had glued everything down that the presents were a mirror image of the sketch's placement..oh well..

sharing christmas cheer
I'm on a bit of a Christmas roll..used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for inspiration...dug into my vintage stash of pattern papers...mixed and matched the different pattern paper lines...more pattern paper scrap busting...it was a win-win for all! Pattern papers, cardstock, glimmer cardstock and die cuts later..some gems and cardstock carrot noses. The fidley snowmen nestled in tea cups were layered on the front piece with foam tape. Stamped the sentiment and punched out and layered on the red layer. Voila! 5 Cards for the Christmas card stash.

Snowmen
My interpretation of Amy's sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches weekly challenge coupled with the Ann's Tic Tac Toe Challenge from the Paper Players. I did start with the one stitched white glimmer oval for the snowman..but I felt the snowman needed something else. I added the top hat and finished with the pattern paper scarves. Used a blush Copic to add the rosy cheeks and layered the "carrot" nose with foam tape. Pulled out a couple paper edgers to finish the edge on the pattern paper strip at the top of each card.
The second card from the left: Paper Player's challenge: designer paper, sparkle and flowers...the pointsettia designer paper ~ not sure whether that counts..fingers crossed. Maybe the card needs a pointsettia flower on the top hat...hmmmm....
Well it's late and I want to get this posted.
Thanks for dropping by to have a peek. Happy Easter Monday.

BEST WISHES for
the BEST BOSS EVER. Used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to kickstart the inspiration as I wanted a special card for an AMAZING human and a WONDERFUL leader. For the masculine touch...used the hexagon shapes versus flowers...and added the shaker box ...window frame for more pizazz. BEST is outside the shaker and WISHES is inside the shaker. Finished with some swirly glitter ribbons ...blinged just enough for a masculine card!

Top Hat Snowman
New sketch challenge blog to me...Try a Sketch On Tuesday ...wanted to try something different..3 shapes...tried circles..tried ovals..tried a combination..I opted for stacked shapes...White glimmer cardstock stitched oval and stitched circle for the Snowman with black cardstock two stitched ovals for the top hat. Embellished with buffalo plaid hat band and scarf..finished with snowflake confetti and a red gem..Voila a snowman!

Finshed with either black gemstones or googly eyes and a tiara or a party hat. Sparkly tiaras and a colourful party hats with sparkly green tassels. Stamped and embossed the Happy Birthday ..and cut out with the punch. Voila..4 more Birthday cards for the stash.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
I am just loving the sketch challenges and up next, is JUST ADD INK's latest sketch from Tina! Love how the cards turned out and the white embossed HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the black cardstock really POPS and finishes the cards. I think I might need to sprinkle some sequins when I find the right colours. Stamped and diecut the jar and flowers...used some gold and white twine/string...mini pearls and Voila! 4 cards to add to the stash!

HAVE A LUCKY DAY
My take on the weekly Freshly Made Sketches challenge...Lots of fabulous inspiration on the site and you need to check the cards out. Also perfect timing as I paired this sketch with Festive Friday's challenge: rainbow, leprechaun and lucky sentiment.
This is by far for me, the cleanest card I've ever made. The rainbow was a bit tedious as I diecut the circles in the ranbow colour order - glued them and than cut the circles in half. Stamped and heat set the sentiment with gold embossing powder. Raised the lucky pot on foam tape for dimension and Voila!
