Winter Magic...

Next up on the roster, Sunday Stamp's sketch challenge..Inked up a couple of my vintage snowmen trio stamps, perfect for the sketch and since I'm on a shaker box kick...flat shakers from upcycled cellophane from a recent desk planner. More vintage pattern papers from the stash..Doubling up this challenge with the Paper Player's Signs of Winter theme challenge..snowmen, snowflakes, hats and scarves... Cards completed = 14 + 4 = 18. Happy Love or Happy Christmas?

Up next, Amy's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.. made some happy cards with the penguin trio sledding down the embossed snowy hill.. More vintage paper with the coloured penguins. Glimmer paper just because. Hoping these cards can either be Happy Love Day or Happy Christmas perhaps. Card goal 9 + 3 = 12 cards to date.

Merry Christmas Snowflakes

As soon as I saw Kim's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches...the wheels started turning...Diecutted the extra large snowflakes from some vintage heavy weight glitter cardstock..Inked, coloured, embellished and dusted with dazzling diamonds the images..layered on stitched circle mats. Layered the sentiment with foam tape while using my newest punch. Voila! 3 cards..although the intentions was for more...LOL ..Card Goal 159 + 3 = 162 cards. Opps....I just noticed that my sentiments are placed on the right and should have been the left...huge sigh..even though I looked at the sketch numerous times

Holiday Puppies...

Next is Deb's sketch from Sunday Sketches...loving the sketch challenges and they help with my goal to put a dent into the vintage treasure trove of cardmaking supplies! ;) Made a few Christmas cards with the wee Christmas puppy. Stamped, coloured and fussy cutted the puppies. Dusted the trim on their hats with dazzling diamonds and added a teeny bell die cut. Embossed the white layer with different snowflake embossing folders. Sentiment stamped with white embossing powder on black cardstock and punched out. Sorry I couldn't cover up the Christmas puppies...so I had to take liberty with the sentiment placement. Voila ready for Christmas! Card Challenge 140 + 4 = 144 cards.

Trick or Treat

Trying out the mid monthly challenge from Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge... A couple Halloween globes made from my vintage treasure trove of cardmakng supplies. Firstly, stamped and coloured the mummies. Masked the coloured mummies so I could sponge the Basic Grey around the image. Made the shakers from a sheet of black fun foam and old transparencies for the windows. Finished the orange bases with some vintage black bling that's been in my stash forever and a day. Diecutted some teeny bats from black glimmer paper..Voila! Card Challenge 138 + 2 = 140 cards. Also entering these cards into the Make My Monday Challenge's - Halloween colours

Halloween Globes

Up next is Jen T's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.. Forgive me as I seem to be on a Halloween kick...as soon as I saw the sketch.. a Halloween globe came to mind immediately...Dug into the vintage pattern paper treasure trove. Inked and coloured the vintage trick or treating Halloween mummie. Made some shaker boxes filled with Halloween confetti for the faux globes. Made the globe bases by cutting a label in half and finishing with some the black bling Stamped *TRICK OR TREAT* with white on black cardstock Love the image so much that I had to make 3 cards...I'm entering the pink and orange card into Jan's Pick Two Challenge over at Just Add Ink My two choices are: pattern paper and plaid from the vintage pattern paper trove of mine. Card Challenge 135 + 3 = 138 cards to date.

Halloween Spookiness...

Giving the latest Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge a try...Halloween on the brain lately...For the first card... I haven't made a shaker in forever and a day..Inked and coloured the trick or treat Halloween mummie..masked him afterwards so I could sponge Smokey Slate..made a circle shaker box...used some orange glimmer paper for some pizzazz.. Finished with the Happy Halloween embossed with white on black cardstock. My second card finished was the Halloween toad. Sprinkled a few purple sequins to finish the card and cut the corners on the embossed sentiment. My fave is the Halloween mummie ~ which one is yours? Card Challenge 133 + 2 = 135 cards completed.

Merry Snowmen...

My rendition of Karren's sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Stamped and coloured the snowmen and finshed with dazzling diamonds. Layered with foam tape, the scallop matted coloured images. Loved using up more of my vintage pattern paper stash, which is right up the alley for the Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge. Three more cards towards my 2024-240 goal and I'm now at 142 cards...only 98 more to go!

Christmas Puppy. **WINNER**

Another sketch challenge blog ~ Try a Sketch on Tuesday..my interpretation..Loving the white glimmer snowflakes on the stitched circle layers as they really pop! This heat dome we're experencing is really cramping the cardmaking..LOL..too hot to make cards..instead I'm baking up a rhubarb storm..with the recently gifted rhubarb...go figure.

Penguins Sledding...

Jen M's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was the inspiration kickstarter for these two Christmas cards. Inked, coloured the images with Copics and Blends and fussy cutted the sledding penguns. Layered the embossed snowy hill and the penguins on one card and layered the sentiment and the penguins on the other...I think I prefer the one with layered penguins and hills more...Which one do you prefer? Voila two more cards for my 2024-240 challenge.

My take on the latest weekly AHSC...Christmas on the brain...inked and stamped the skating snowman..coloured with Blends and Copics..dusted with diamond glitter..Matted the coloured image and layered with foam tape for some dimension. Finished with the white embossed Merry Christmas on black cardstock..Voila! One more card for the 2024-240 Card Challenge...

Another Performance...Snowmen & Mittens *WINNER*

So I'm really loving this snowman in the mitten stamped image and had to give it another shot with a new Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge. Once again, another great scrap buster for those fidley leftover paper strips. The colouring and the fussy cutting of the images are not for the faint hearted...LOL..but the Copics and blendabilities make the colouring less daunting for the most part. Dazzling diamonds on the snowman and a metallic gel pen for the wire spirals...or whatever you call them. Voila...5 more cards for the Christmas stash and working on the 2024-240 card goal.

Merry Snowmen and Puppies

A NEW to me sketch challenge blog and the DT knock it out of the park for leaving blog love from the Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge. Inking up the vintage stamp collection and colouring with Copics and Blendabilities...Mix and match more vintage pattern papers from the stash..added dazzling diamonds to the puppies' hats and the snowmen sitting in their hats. Found a package of these vintage holographic snowflake stickers to finish the cards and Voila 7 more cards for the Christmas Stash and 240 cards for 2024 Goal...almost caught up..
Entering this card into the latest Double Trouble Challenge using the stash..so much from the stash...the snowman in a hat stamp..the pattern papers are all from before 2017, if not older..and the snowflake stickers...some are from 2006 (huge gasp) and others are at least 10 years old..OMG..so definitely a stash buster challenge... Another goal this year is to use up the vintage collection and put a major dent in my cardmaking supplies...hence the 240 card goal...12 months...20 cards a month..which would mean at least 40 sheets of pattern paper...which would be a mere drop in the bucket in the overall scheme of things...but it's a start...one sheet of pattern paper at a time! ;)
One of my go to sketch challenge blogs...Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge...this week's sketch looked alittle daunting at first but I think I managed to sort it out and another great scrap buster for those small strips of pattern paper. Stamped and coloured the images with Copics and blendabilities...gold metallic pen and some dazzling diamonds..the most challenging fussy cutting project yet...Voila! 4 more Christmas cards added to the stash.

Next....the Paper Players' LeAnne's animal theme challenge. Love this puppy image - simple to colour..dazzling diamonds glitter to the fur trim on the hat..glitter pen for details on the jingle bell.. stamped the snowflakes on the background. Vintage pattern papers from craft stash...and a couple vintage three dimensional snowflakes to finish the cards. Voila a couple more Christmas cards to the stash..

Next for inspiration: ABC's Christmas Challenge - H is for Hats and I is for Inking..Doubled with Just Add Ink's Challenge - Add Shimmer or Shine and tripled for a Hat Trick with Freshly Made Sketches' recent sketch challenge from Kim. It's been a LONG time since I've completed a hat trick.. Inked up this vintage and new to me stamp of the Snowballs with their hats..coloured with Copics and Blendabilities ...and fussy cutted..my least fave thing to do..LOL. For SHIMMER - dusted dazzling diamonds here and there and layered on top with the red shimmer letters for *merry*. Finally getting a chance to use this *merry* die as it's oversized..but I love words with the shadow layers as the words just seem to pop. The sledding penguins were coloured with Copics and fussy cut as well..different pattern papers..Voila..4 more Christmas cards added to the 2024 Christmas card stash and my 240 goal.

Christmas Penguins Sledding

Didn't like the white space on the original card...so I fussy cut with a xacto knife and than added foam tape for dimension...a better version in my humble opinion.

Over at Freshly Made Sketches...Jen M has her sketch up for inspiration..Goal this year is to ink up the dusty vintage collection and build my Christmas card stash.. Enjoyed working with the sketch and will need to a few more of these cards. Vintage pattern papers and my most fave snowflake embossing folder. Voila!
