Soft Sky Christmas....it's a WINNER!!
Colour challenges normally take me awhile to figure out; however, this time around with Penny's colour challenge over at Watercooler Wednesdays': Tip Top Taupe, Soft Sky, White and Silver....totally worked for me and this card came together pretty quick for me. I wanted to try this gatefold with the frame and matted image attached to the left and right card panels. Stamped and embossed the ornaments hanging from the branch with silver embossing powder and finished with the ice rhinestones. Just had to add googly eyes to the owl perched on the Tip Top Taupe branch and leaves....stamped snowflakes with Soft Sky from the Serene Snowflakes set..couldn't decide on which Christmas sentiment so I left it blank..Voila!
Deets: All Stampin Up except for googly eyes.
EDIT: Just found out that I won the Watercooler Wednesday's colour challenge. Woot woot...happy dance and high fives. Thanks to the Watercooler Wednesday peeps for a great challenge and for choosing my card as the winner. What a GREAT Tuesday. ;)
Thanks for dropping by and taking a peek at my card.
Smiles. :)

Sheri, you've created magic for Penny's color challenge. I love the way you've incorporated that wonderful, classic Owl Builder punch. The fancy gatefold, background details and layout are all part of that magic. Love the bling. Thanks for sharing and joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
Awwwwww...thanks so much Heidi!! One of my fave Christmas cards that I need to make a couple extra! ;) I just loved Penny's colour challenge as normally the colour challenges stump me. So glad I could participate and look forward to the next Watercooler challenge. :)
Sherri, I just love your card. The owl punch just keeps on going....and going. Your gatefold is beautiful and of course the colors are terrific.
Such an amazing gate fold Sheri with lots of details to take in. That glimmer paper window really sets off the design elements. I also love that you used the Owl Builder punch. He's still one of my favs and he looks extra special with his fun googlie eyes. I also like how you have him perched on the branch along with the embossed ornaments and jewels. You've done a phenomenal job with your colour match-ups too. I'm so happy you had fun and inspiration from this selection and I'm happy you were able to join us this week at the Watercooler!
Gorgeous gate fold card. The owl is so adorable. Love it!
